The American Idol luminaries and their Malaysian counterparts, most notably Jaclyn Victor, have paid glowing tribute to the late Whitney Houston who passed away of a heart ailment on February 11, 2012, two days before the Grammy Awards.
Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Steve Tyler, Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Hudson, Jaclyn, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Elliott Yamin and Jordin Sparks (who acted with Houston in Sparkle which Houston produced) among others have described her passing as a tragic and sad day for music.
They have hailed Houston as the First Lady Of Song, who inspired millions to walk in her footsteps.
Jaclyn and Elliott are honoured to have performed with Houston during her visit to Malaysia in 2007.
Jaclyn's fellow Malaysian reality talent stars, such as Burn Thevandran, Vince Chong and Marsha Londoh also paid tribute to Houston.
