Mermaids Of Muar

Lovely Nana Mahazan (left) and Zila Seeron resemble the Mermaids of Muar.

Zila is from Kuala Pilah in Negeri Sembilan, the source of the Muar River.

Nana is from Muar Town in Johor, the end of the Muar River.

Legend has it that mermaids lived in the Muar River.

Muar Town was Johor's ancient capital and it served as the capital of the ancient Johor Empire which ruled modern-day Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, East Timor, Brunei and the Philippines during Hindu times.

Bandar Muar adalah ibu kota Johor di zaman empayar Johor, dan empayar itu pernah menguasai negara moden Malaysia, Singapura, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Brunei dan Filipina. Pada masa itu Alam Melayu beragama Hindu.
